Volunteer State Bank Announces Appointment of New Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer

NASHVILLE & PORTLAND, TENN. – September 30, 2024 – Volunteer State Bank announces the appointment of Kristy O'Donnell as senior vice president, chief human resources officer. O’Donnell brings a wealth of HR expertise and leadership experience, with an impressive track record of supporting organizations of all sizes through strategic human resource management and organizational transformation. 

With a decade of experience in various Human Resources leadership roles, O’Donnell has demonstrated her ability to lead HR teams and implement key initiatives that drive organizational success. Most recently, she served as HR consultant at One Digital, where she provided consultation to a diverse range of small to mid-sized companies, ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws, enhancing employee relations, and overseeing HR integration tasks during mergers.

Throughout her career, O’Donnell has excelled in building high-performing HR teams, developing talent management strategies, and executing organizational design efforts. Notably, during her tenure at DJO Global, she successfully played a key role in implementing engagement initiatives, overseeing workday implementation, and developing workforce transition strategies.

O’Donnell’s educational background includes a Master of Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the same university.
